PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

A lifelong resident of Bethesda and Chevy Chase, Maryland with homes in Baltimore and Annapolis, MD, Lynda O'Dea* is an accomplished marketing executive with extensive online and traditional marketing expertise. She is also an interior designer and home renovation expert. Most recently, Lynda created an online retail business that won a national award for being one of the top 20 best retail websites. Prior to that, she was VP of marketing for a software company. For the Maryland Jockey Club, she developed new technologies that were adopted nationwide, created the highly acclaimed corporate hospitality venue Preakness Village, and managed the Preakness Stakes race and events. She also conceived and designed the Sports Palaces at Laurel and Pimlico which were credited with revolutionizing thoroughbred racing, developed new technologies for the racing consumer, and designed over $10 million in interior design projects. Lynda was also the original developer of what became the ESPN Zone in Baltimore's Inner Harbor and worked with ABC Sports, ESPN, the NHL and NFL on a variety of sports entertainment projects. After designing, renovating and selling numerous homes of her own, Lynda decided to combine her favorite passion with her profession, focusing on bringing the efficiency of technology and design expertise to her clients while providing the highest level of professionalism.

Founded in 1968, Long & Foster has grown from a single, 600-square-foot office in Fairfax, Virginia, to the largest privately-owned real estate company in America. Wes Foster began his real estate career in 1963 as a sales manager at a home builder. In 1966, he moved to Nelson Realty as vice-president of sales where he sold over one million dollars worth of residential real estate each year for six consecutive years. Long & Foster began with Wes Foster handling the residential real estate arm of the business and Henry Long handling commercial. In July 1979, Wes Foster became sole owner.
